Chartr in an Instagram post shows the search of the word “Super Over” in google worldwide. As pointed out in their post it was rule in cricket not everyone was aware and hence you see this spike in searches for the “Super Over” rule.
The following is a quick search i did of this word in google trend to replicate the plot. If you are new to google trend i would suggest you explore it and the data is downloadable to create similar trend plots in your favorite visualization tool.
